Description

Nalpha-[(9H-Fluoren-9-ylmethoxy)carbonyl]-Nepsilon-biotinyl-L-lysine is used in solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) to incorporate biotin functionality into peptides. During peptide assembly on solid support, the Fmoc protecting group is temporarily removed to expose the amino group of lysine. Biotin is then conjugated to the lysine residue using standard coupling chemistry (e.g., NHS/EDC coupling).
