Description

Dde Biotin-PEG4 can be selectively deprotected under mild conditions (typically with hydrazine or 2% hydrazine hydrate) to expose the biotin moiety. This allows for site-specific labeling or modification of biomolecules, such as proteins or peptides, where the biotin tag is needed for subsequent detection, purification, or immobilization. The Dde group is commonly used in organic synthesis to temporarily mask the amino group of biotin, preventing unwanted reactions during synthesis or modification steps.
