N6-(6-Aminohexyl)-3′-dATP-Biotin (N6-(6-Aminohexyl)-3′-deoxyadenosine-5′-triphosphate-Biotin, Sodium salt) is a modified deoxyadenosine triphosphate (dATP) analog that features an aminohexyl linker at the N6 position of the adenine base and a biotin tag at the 3′ end. N6-(6-Aminohexyl)-3′-dATP-Biotin can be used as a labeled nucleotide in PCR to generate biotinylated DNA products. The biotin tag allows for the subsequent detection, purification, and analysis of the amplified DNA. This biotinylated dATP analog can also be incorporated into DNA by various DNA polymerases, enabling the study of enzyme activity, fidelity, and nucleotide incorporation mechanisms. This is valuable in understanding the functionality and efficiency of DNA polymerases.
