Description

Acetylene-PEG4-Desthiobiotin incorporates an acetylene group for click chemistry, a PEG4 linker for solubility and flexibility, and a desthiobiotin moiety for reversible biotin-streptavidin interactions. The acetylene group in Acetylene-PEG4-Desthiobiotin can react with azide groups on biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, or small molecules. This enables the site-specific labeling or modification of these molecules, facilitating studies on their function, localization, and interactions. In addition, azide-functionalized surfaces (e.g., microarrays, biosensors) can be conjugated with Acetylene-PEG4-Desthiobiotin to introduce desthiobiotin moieties. This is useful for creating surfaces that can capture and release biotinylated molecules reversibly.
