Description

Biotin-PEG8-Vidarabine is a modified nucleoside that combines biotin with vidarabine (also known as arabinosyladenine), a nucleoside analog used in antiviral therapy. The incorporation of polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a spacer enhances the solubility and biocompatibility of the compound. Vidarabine is a purine nucleoside analog that can incorporate into nucleic acids, exerting antiviral effects by interfering with viral replication. Biotin-PEG8-Vidarabine can be used to study the mechanisms of antiviral action, particularly its incorporation into viral genomes and inhibition of viral replication.
