This compound contains a diphenylphosphine oxide group attached to a cyclohexylidene moiety that is further substituted with tert-butyldimethylsilyl (TBDMS) groups. Diphenylphosphine oxide is a well-known ligand in coordination chemistry. This compound can be used as a ligand in various catalytic reactions, influencing the reactivity and selectivity of metal catalysts. The TBDMS groups are used to protect hydroxyl groups during chemical synthesis. This protection can be removed later under specific conditions to reveal the original hydroxyl functionality.
