Crenolanib (1-[2-[5-[(3-Methyl-3-oxetanyl)methoxy]-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl]-8-quinolinyl]-4-piperidinamine / ARO 002 / CP 868596 / [1-[2-[5-(3-Methyloxetan-3-ylmethoxy)benzimidazol-1-yl]quinolin-8-yl]piperidin-4-yl]amine) specifically inhibits the activity of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) such as FLT3 (Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3) and PDGFR (platelet-derived growth factor receptor). These kinases are involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth and division. Crenolanib is primarily investigated for its use in treating AML, particularly in cases where FLT3 mutations are present. FLT3 is often mutated in AML, leading to uncontrolled cell proliferation.
