ATB-BMPA-Biotin (N-[2-[2-[2-[(N-BIOTINYL-CAPROYLAMINO)-ETHOXY)ETHOXYL]-4-[2-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)-3H-DIAZIRIN-3-YL]BENZOYL]-1,3-BIS(MANNOPYRANOSYL-4-YLOXY)-2-PROPYLAMINE) is a multifunctional reagent that combines biotinylation, crosslinking, and conjugation capabilities. Biotin is a vitamin that binds strongly to avidin or streptavidin. This property makes it valuable for specific detection, purification, and immobilization of biotinylated molecules. BMPA is a crosslinking reagent with two maleimide groups. Maleimide groups react with thiol (–SH) groups on proteins or other biomolecules to form stable thioether bonds. This makes BMPA useful for creating conjugates or crosslinking molecules. ATB provides a biotinylated tetraethylene glycol spacer with an amine group. The amine group allows for further conjugation or modification, and the biotinylation facilitates specific binding to avidin or streptavidin. This compound is used in a variety of biochemical and molecular biology applications, including labeling, purification, crosslinking, and structural studies.
