(+)-Biotin-(PEO)3-iodoacetamide is a chemical reagent combining a biotin tag with a PEG spacer and an iodoacetamide group. (+)-Biotin-(PEO)3-iodoacetamide can be used in affinity purification to isolate biotinylated proteins or peptides. The biotin tag binds to avidin or streptavidin columns, while the iodoacetamide group enables specific labeling of thiol-containing proteins. The iodoacetamide group can be used for cross-linking studies involving thiol-containing biomolecules. This is useful for stabilizing complexes and studying molecular interactions.
