Description

Beta-Amyloid (10-35)-Lys(Biotin)-NH2 is derived from the beta-amyloid protein, specifically from residues 10 to 35 of the Aβ peptide sequence. It includes a lysine residue modified with biotin at its terminal end. Biotin is a small molecule that binds strongly to avidin and streptavidin, enabling easy detection and purification methods in biochemical assays. Aβ(10-35)-K(biotin)-NH2 is used to investigate the aggregation properties of beta-amyloid peptides. It can mimic certain aspects of the aggregation behavior of full-length beta-amyloid peptides, which are implicated in Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
