Alkyne-poly-L-Glutamic acid (Alkyne capped poly-L-Glutamic acid / ALK-PGlu / Alkyne-PGlu) can be used to attach imaging agents or diagnostic probes, allowing for the visualization and tracking of the polymer in biological systems. In addition, PGlu is used in tissue engineering for creating scaffolds. The introduction of alkyne groups can allow for further modification of the scaffolds, such as the attachment of growth factors or other bioactive molecules.
