Methyldiphenylacetylidene-silane (MDPES) is a chemical compound that combines a methyldiphenylacetylidene group with a silane moiety. The acetylidene group (-C equiv C-−C≡C−) is highly reactive and can participate in a variety of chemical reactions, including cycloaddition and polymerization. Silane groups are reactive towards surfaces, oxides, and other materials, facilitating the formation of strong covalent bonds with substrates.
