GO-PTEB (Graphene Oxide-poly-1,3,5-triethynylbenzene)) combines graphene oxide (GO) with a polymer of 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene (PTEB), leading to a composite material with distinctive properties due to the synergy between graphene oxide and the polyethynylbenzene polymer. GO retains the basic structure of graphene but with additional functional groups that enhance its dispersibility in water and its reactivity. It is widely used in composites, sensors, and as a precursor for reduced graphene oxide. PTEB has a high degree of connectivity due to the multiple ethynyl groups, resulting in a cross-linked polymer network. It provides excellent thermal stability and high surface area.
