UIO-66 tetrazine refers to a modified version of the well-known metal-organic framework (MOF) UIO-66, where tetrazine groups are incorporated into its structure. UIO-66 is a zirconium-based MOF which is known for its high thermal and chemical stability, large surface area, and tunable pore sizes. The tetrazine groups in UIO-66 Tetrazine enable site-specific bioorthogonal reactions with other molecules, such as trans-cyclooctene (TCO) derivatives. This is particularly useful for labeling or attaching biomolecules or drugs to the MOF, enabling targeted delivery or imaging.
