TPAPy/TPATz fluorogenic nanoprobes are types of fluorogenic nanoprobes that utilize specific chemical structures to achieve fluorescence for various applications, such as imaging, sensing, and diagnostics. TPAPy incorporates a tetrafluoropyridine unit, which is a pyridine ring substituted with four fluorine atoms. The high electronegativity of fluorine atoms enhances the electron-withdrawing properties of the pyridine ring. TPATz includes a tetrafluorotetrazine unit, which is a tetrazine ring with four fluorine substituents. The addition of fluorine atoms enhances the electron-withdrawing properties of the tetrazine ring.
