Description

177Lu-DOTA-PEGn-Tz s a radiopharmaceutical agent used primarily in targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) and diagnostic imaging. This compound integrates the therapeutic radioisotope lutetium-177 (177Lu), the chelating agent DOTA, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer, and a tetrazine (Tz) moiety. The lutetium-177 is chelated by the DOTA moiety, forming a stable complex that prevents the release of the radioisotope in the body, thereby reducing off-target radiation. 177Lu-DOTA-PEGn-Tz can be used to deliver targeted radiation therapy to tumors. The Tz group reacts specifically with TCO-modified molecules that are directed toward tumor antigens, ensuring that the radiation is delivered directly to cancer cells. This minimizes damage to surrounding healthy tissue.
