Description

DOTA-PEG10-Tz consists of three main components: DOTA (a chelating agent), PEG10 (a polyethylene glycol spacer), and Tz (tetrazine, a bioorthogonal reactive group). The DOTA moiety acts as a chelator that securely binds metal ions, forming stable complexes that can be used in imaging or therapeutic applications. PEG provides flexibility and optimal pharmacokinetic properties, ensuring that the molecule remains stable and circulates effectively within the body. Tetrazine (Tz) allows for precise targeting of the compound to specific sites in the body, such as tumors. When DOTA-PEG10-Tz is radiolabeled with isotopes like 68Ga or 177Lu, it can be used in positron emission tomography (PET) or single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging. The tetrazine group allows for specific targeting through click chemistry, enabling imaging of targeted tissues or tumors.
