Description

DSPE-PEG-Cy5 (1,2-Distearoyl-sn-Glycero-3-Phosphoethanolamine (DSPE)-polyethylene glycol with conjugated cyanine 5) is used for fluorescence microscopy to visualize and track cells labeled with Cy5. The far-red fluorescence of Cy5 helps in observing cellular processes with minimal interference from autofluorescence. In tissue sections or whole animal models, DSPE-PEG-Cy5 can be used to label and track specific cells or tissue structures. The long wavelength fluorescence ensures deeper tissue penetration and clearer imaging.
