TA-MNPs (Tannin-functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles) combine the magnetic properties of nanoparticles with the functional properties of tannins. Tannins are a group of polyphenolic compounds found in many plants, known for their strong binding affinity to proteins and other macromolecules. By functionalizing magnetic nanoparticles with tannins, these composites leverage the magnetic properties for separation, detection, and other applications, while benefiting from the biocompatibility and chemical reactivity of tannins.
