Tetrazine-5-TAMRA is a powerful tool for various applications in molecular imaging, live-cell imaging, super-resolution microscopy, chemical biology, in vivo studies, and targeted drug delivery. TAMRA is a well-known rhodamine-based fluorescent dye that emits bright red fluorescence when excited, typically around 546 nm. It is widely used in fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and other imaging techniques due to its high photostability, good quantum yield, and compatibility with a variety of biological applications. Tetrazine is a highly reactive dienophile that can participate in inverse electron-demand Diels-Alder (iEDDA) reactions with strained alkenes, such as trans-cyclooctenes (TCO) or bicyclononynes (BCN).
