Description

Azide-PEG-COOH (N3-PEG-COOH) can be used to modify proteins or peptides. The carboxylic acid group can react with lysine residues or other amine-containing molecules to form stable amide bonds. The azide group allows further functionalization through click chemistry, enabling the attachment of fluorescent dyes, drugs, or other functional molecules. This compound can also be employed in the synthesis of ADCs, where the carboxylic acid group is used to attach the PEG linker to an antibody, and the azide group is used for subsequent conjugation with a drug or therapeutic agent via click chemistry.
