Description

DOX-a-PEG-a-DOX refers to a conjugate in which doxorubicin (DOX) molecules are linked through azide groups and a polyethylene glycol (PEG) spacer. By attaching targeting agents or ligands to the azide groups, the conjugate can be directed to specific cancer cells or tissues, improving the selective delivery of doxorubicin and minimizing damage to healthy cells. In addition, the azide groups can be used to attach imaging agents, such as fluorescent dyes or radioactive labels, enabling the tracking and monitoring of the drug’s distribution and effectiveness in vivo.
