Description

7PS-POSS-N3 combines the properties of poly(styrene) with polyhedral oligosilsesquioxane (POSS) and azide groups. Polyhedral Oligosilsesquioxane (POSS) is class of silica-based compounds with a cage-like structure. POSS units are incorporated into the polymer to enhance thermal stability, mechanical strength, and to introduce additional functional groups. Poly(styrene) (PS) provides the polymer backbone with rigidity and hydrophobic properties. Styrene units are used to create a stable, high-performance polymer matrix. The incorporation of POSS into the polystyrene matrix enhances the thermal stability, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability of the polymer. This makes 7PS-POSS-N3 suitable for advanced composite materials used in demanding environments.
