Description

CdN3-GO (Cadmium Azide-Graphene Oxide) is a composite material composed of cadmium azide (CdN3) integrated with graphene oxide (GO). Cadmium azide is a coordination compound where cadmium is bonded to azide ions (-N3). The azide groups provide high reactivity, making CdN3 useful in various chemical processes, including energy storage and conversion. Graphene oxide is a form of graphene with oxygen-containing functional groups (e.g., hydroxyl, epoxide, carboxyl) on its surface. These groups enhance the dispersibility of GO in water and other solvents, and provide sites for further chemical modification. CdN3-GO composites can be used as electrode materials in supercapacitors. The high surface area and electrical conductivity of graphene oxide, combined with the reactivity of cadmium azide, can enhance the charge storage capacity and overall performance of supercapacitors.
