Description

HA-hyd-N3 features hyaluronic acid (HA) as the backbone, linked to an azide group (N3) via a hydrazone bond. The targeting capabilities of HA combined with the click chemistry potential of the azide group can be used to develop targeted therapies for cancer treatment. For instance, HA-hyd-N3 can be modified to deliver chemotherapeutic agents specifically to cancer cells expressing CD44. In tissue engineering, HA-hyd-N3 can be used to create scaffolds or matrices. The azide group allows for the incorporation of functional groups or bioactive molecules, enhancing the scaffold’s properties for tissue regeneration.
