Poly(L-lysine hydrochloride) (PLL HCL) is a synthetic polymer derived from the naturally occurring amino acid lysine. It is a cationic polymer, meaning it contains positively charged amino groups along its backbone. PLL-HCl is commonly used as a substrate for cell culture experiments. Its cationic surface promotes cell adhesion and growth, making it useful for maintaining cells in culture.
