Fmoc-Asp(OtBu)-Wang resin combines the properties of the Wang resin with a protected form of aspartic acid (Asp) that contains a tert-butyl (OtBu) ester at the side chain. The free carboxylic acid group resulting from the removal of the tert-butyl group enables conjugation to other biomolecules, such as drugs, labels, or other peptides, facilitating the development of bioconjugates. The resin is compatible with automated synthesizers, enabling the rapid generation of diverse peptide libraries for screening against biological targets.
