2′-OMe-C(Ac) Polystyrene Resin is useful for synthesizing 2′-OMe-modified RNA strands, often employed in therapeutic oligonucleotides or RNA interference (RNAi) research. The 2′-OMe modification protects the RNA strand from ribonuclease degradation, increasing the stability of the synthesized RNA oligonucleotides. In addition, 2′-OMe-modified oligonucleotides are used in antisense therapy, where they bind to target RNA sequences and inhibit gene expression. The polystyrene resin enables efficient synthesis of these therapeutic molecules.
