Description

Fluorescent (DiR) Labeled Exosome-Mimicking Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are engineered to mimic exosomal properties such as size, lipid composition, and surface markers, enabling their use in a variety of biomedical applications, including drug delivery, tracking, disease modeling, and immunotherapy. The lipid bilayer of DiR-labeled exosome-mimicking liposomes is typically composed of phospholipids that are similar to those found in natural exosomes. These lipids include phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), sphingomyelin (SM), and cholesterol, which contribute to the stability, fluidity, and functionality of the liposomal membrane. The lipid composition is carefully chosen to mimic that of exosomal membranes and provide structural integrity to the liposomes. DiR is a lipophilic, near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye that can be incorporated into the lipid bilayer of liposomes. DiR exhibits strong fluorescence in the NIR range (around 750–780 nm) when excited, which is beneficial for in vivo imaging due to reduced tissue autofluorescence and enhanced deep tissue penetration.
