Description

Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG MB FMP (Low Crosslinked Polystyrene-PEG Macrobeads 4-Formyl-3-Methoxy Phenoxyethyl) exhibits enhanced solubility and reduced non-specific interactions, making it suitable for drug delivery applications. The aldehyde group allows for the conjugation of therapeutic agents, enabling the development of targeted drug delivery systems where controlled release is essential. In addition, the aldehyde group in the FMP moiety reacts readily with primary amines found in proteins, antibodies, and peptides to form Schiff bases. These Schiff bases can be stabilized via reductive amination using reducing agents such as sodium cyanoborohydride (NaBH₃CN), resulting in a stable covalent bond. This feature makes the material ideal for immobilizing biomolecules onto solid supports for diagnostic assays, biosensors, and affinity chromatography applications.
