Description

Dextran Phosphate (Dextran Phosphorylated) is a modified form of dextran, a polysaccharide composed of glucose units. In dextran phosphorylated, one or more hydroxyl groups (-OH) on the dextran molecule are replaced with phosphate groups (-PO4). It can be used as a drug carrier. Therapeutic molecules can be attached to the phosphorylated dextran, enabling controlled drug delivery and release. The ionic nature of phosphorylated dextran can also be advantageous in drug delivery systems that respond to changes in pH or ionic strength.
