Description

100nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with DiA refers to liposomes composed of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) and cholesterol (CHOL), with the addition of a fluorescent dye called DiA (DiIC18(3) or 1,1′-Dioctadecyl-3,3,3′,3′-Tetramethylindocarbocyanine Perchlorate). DiA is a lipophilic carbocyanine dye that is often used as a fluorescent label in lipid membranes. DiA incorporates into lipid bilayers and is commonly employed for cellular and subcellular membrane labeling. DiA is known for its use in imaging cellular and subcellular structures. Liposomes labeled with DiA can be used for real-time visualization and tracking in cells, tissues, or biological samples using fluorescence microscopy. DiA can also be used in FRET studies, providing a tool for investigating molecular interactions and conformational changes in membranes.
