Description

100nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with NBD-PE, Lyophilized Powder are fluorescently tagged lipid vesicles widely used in membrane biology, biophysics, and drug delivery research. NBD-PE fluorescence allows researchers to investigate the interactions between liposomes and biological membranes, as well as liposome-liposome fusion events. Fluorescence changes in NBD-PE intensity can indicate binding, insertion, or uptake of liposomes by cells. In membrane fusion assays, dequenching of NBD fluorescence provides quantitative insights into lipid mixing during vesicle fusion. Besides, DOPC/CHOL liposomes are ideal carriers for therapeutic agents, and NBD-PE enhances their tracking and study. NBD fluorescence can be used to monitor drug release kinetics and the stability of liposomes in physiological conditions.
