Description

100nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with Oregon Green 488 DHPE, Lyophilized Powder are composed of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) and cholesterol (CHOL), forming stable, biomimetic lipid bilayers. The incorporation of Oregon Green 488 DHPE (1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine) provides a bright, photostable fluorescent label with excitation and emission maxima at approximately 488 nm and 525 nm, respectively, allowing for detailed visualization in various fluorescence imaging applications. DOPC is a neutral phospholipid that naturally forms bilayers with high fluidity at physiological temperatures, while CHOL enhances membrane stability and reduces permeability. The combination of these lipids closely mimics the properties of natural cellular membranes, making these liposomes suitable for biological studies.
