100nm PEGylated DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with DiA, Lyophilized Powder are engineered with a combination of phospholipids, PEG (polyethylene glycol), and a fluorescent dye (DiA) for tracking their behavior, cellular uptake, and distribution. DiA is a lipophilic fluorescent dye that is often used to label liposomes. It is a long-chain cyanine dye with strong fluorescence properties that emit green fluorescence when excited at wavelengths around 488 nm. DiA-labeled liposomes are useful for studying how immune cells (e.g., macrophages, neutrophils) engulf and process liposomes. The fluorescence allows researchers to quantify phagocytosis efficiency and observe the trafficking of liposomes within immune cells.
