100nm Plain Pure DOPC Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are a type of liposome formed from 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC), a phospholipid with unsaturated fatty acid chains. Due to the unsaturated nature of oleoyl chains, DOPC liposomes exhibit fluidity, making them similar to the fluid phase of natural biological membranes. This gives DOPC liposomes stability at physiological temperatures. Besides, DOPC is widely used because of its low toxicity, biodegradability, and similarity to natural phospholipids found in human cell membranes, which makes it compatible with biological systems. Their structure, consisting of unsaturated fatty acid chains and a phosphocholine head group, gives them fluidity and stability, making them highly suitable for encapsulating both hydrophilic and hydrophobic substances. Their non-toxic, biodegradable nature makes them ideal for biomedical applications, and their ability to mimic biological membranes enhances their utility in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic settings.
