12:0 PE (DLPE) or 1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, one of the widely distributed glycerophospholipid in eukaryotic cells, contains an ammonium head group (RNH3+) and alkyl chains made of 11 carbon atoms. 12:0 PE has been used as a lipid standard in the optimization of the liquid chromatography−mass spectrometry method conditions. In addition, it might be for the preparation of anionic liposomes and binary giant unilamellar vesicles, as well as the quantification of PE from plant lipids. This product is available in powder.
