1,​3-​Bis(4-​aminophenyl)​thiourea (APTU / N,​N’-​Bis(4-​aminophenyl)​thiourea) consists of two 4-aminophenyl groups attached to a thiourea backbone. It has shown potential pharmacological activities. They have been studied for their antitumor, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. In addition, thiourea derivatives have been studied for their ability to bind metal ions and organic molecules.
