Description

1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, 2,5-bis(pentyloxy)-, 1,4-dihydrazide is a dihydrazide derivative of 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (also known as terephthalic acid), where the carboxylic acid groups are reacted with hydrazine molecules. Additionally, the pentyloxy groups (-OC5H11) are attached at the 2 and 5 positions of the benzene ring. It can be used as a monomer for the synthesis of polymeric materials through condensation polymerization reactions. The resulting polymers may have applications in coatings, adhesives, or as engineering plastics.
