Description

1’N-(4,4′-Dimethoxytrityl) Biotin Benzyl Ester is used to introduce biotin into oligonucleotides. The DMT group protects the biotin during synthesis and is removed when the oligonucleotide is complete. The biotin label allows for the detection and purification of the oligonucleotide using streptavidin or avidin. In addition, the biotinylated compound can be employed for detecting specific biomolecules in various experimental settings, such as fluorescent assays or capture assays.
