2-[N2-(N6-t-Boc-6-aminocaproyl)-N6-(6-biotinamidocaproy)-L-lysinylamido]ethyl Methanethiosulfonate can be used to label biomolecules for fluorescence or chemiluminescence detection. Biotin-avidin interactions are employed to attach fluorophores or enzymes to the biotinylated molecules, enabling visualization under specific detection systems. In enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), biotinylated antibodies or other molecules can be detected using avidin or streptavidin conjugated with enzymes. This allows for the quantification of target proteins in samples.
