2′-O-MOE-A(Bz) Polystyrene Resin allows for a solid-phase approach to oligonucleotide synthesis, where the growing oligonucleotide chain is anchored to the resin. This facilitates a stepwise assembly of nucleotides, ultimately resulting in the desired oligonucleotide sequence. 2′-O-MOE (2′-O-Methoxyethyl) replaces the 2′-hydroxy group of ribonucleosides with a methoxyethyl group. It enhances the stability of RNA oligonucleotides against nucleolytic degradation, improves their binding affinity to complementary nucleic acids, and increases their overall efficacy in therapeutic applications. The benzoyl group serves as a protective group during the synthesis process, ensuring that the nucleobase is shielded from unwanted reactions until the desired sequence is complete.
