2′-OMe-A(Bz) Polystyrene Resin can be integrated into synthetic guide RNAs (sgRNAs) used in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing to improve stability and reduce off-target effects. Modified sgRNAs help improve the efficiency and specificity of the Cas9 enzyme by increasing the fidelity of RNA-DNA hybridization during the genome-editing process. Additionally, splice-modulating oligonucleotides (SMOs) are designed to modify pre-mRNA splicing, redirecting the splicing machinery to skip certain exons or alter exon inclusion in mature mRNA. 2′-O-methyl modifications in the oligonucleotides synthesized using 2′-OMe-A(Bz) Polystyrene Resin improve the stability and affinity of these therapeutic molecules.
