212Pb-TCMC-Tz (212Pb-TCMC-Tetrazine) is a radiopharmaceutical compound that consists of the radioisotope lead-212 (^212Pb) chelated to a TCMC (1,4,7,10-tetra-(2-carboxymethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane) ligand, which is further functionalized with a tetrazine moiety. 212Pb-TCMC-Tz can be used in pre-targeting strategies for radioimmunotherapy, where a tetrazine-functionalized antibody or peptide first targets and binds to cancer cells. Subsequently, the ^212Pb-labeled TCMC-Tz compound is administered, reacting with the pre-localized tetrazine group on the antibody or peptide. This strategy enhances the delivery of alpha-emitting radioisotopes to tumors while reducing radiation exposure to non-target tissues.
