Description

2,5-bis(allyloxy)terephthalohydrazide (DHzDAll / 1,​4-​Benzenedicarboxylic acid, 2,​5-​bis(2-​propen-​1-​yloxy)​-​, 1,​4-​dihydrazide) is derived from terephthalic acid, where two of the hydrogen atoms on the aromatic rings are replaced by allyloxy groups (-OCH2CH=CH2). Additionally, it contains two hydrazide functional groups (-NH-NH-) attached to the terephthalic core. The allyloxy groups in 2,5-bis(allyloxy)terephthalohydrazide can participate in the formation of hydrogels through crosslinking reactions with multifunctional monomers or polymers containing double bonds. This property can be utilized in the design of hydrogel materials for various applications, including drug delivery, tissue engineering, and biomedical coatings.
