Description

2,7-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid or 2,7-NDC or 2,7-H2NDC consists of a naphthalene ring with two carboxylic acid functional groups (COOH) attached at positions 2 and 7 on the ring. 2,7-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid can be used as a monomer in the synthesis of polyesters and polyamides. It can undergo condensation polymerization reactions with diols or diamines to produce high-performance polymers with desirable properties such as high melting points, chemical resistance, and thermal stability. These polymers find applications in engineering plastics, fibers, films, and coatings.
