3-Deoxy Saxagliptin ((1S,3S,5S)-2-[(2S)-2-Amino-2-tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-ylacetyl]-2-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carbonitrile) is a derivative of Saxagliptin, which is a known drug used in the management of type 2 diabetes. Saxagliptin is a DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor, which helps in regulating blood glucose levels by increasing the levels of incretin hormones. 3-Deoxy Saxagliptin would be investigated for its ability to inhibit DPP-4, thus prolonging the action of incretin hormones and improving glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. The efficacy of 3-Deoxy Saxagliptin would be compared to that of Saxagliptin to evaluate its potential advantages or limitations.
