Description

3′-Desthiobiotin-GTP is a nucleotide analog where the biotin moiety is replaced with desthiobiotin. 3′-Desthiobiotin-GTP is used in in vitro transcription reactions to incorporate desthiobiotin-labeled nucleotides into RNA. This facilitates the synthesis of biotin-deficient RNA molecules that can subsequently be detected and purified using streptavidin or avidin-based methods.
