Description

300nm DOPC/CHOL Liposomes labeled with Fluorescein DHPE refer to liposomes composed primarily of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) and cholesterol (CHOL), with a fraction of lipids labeled with fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate-conjugated 1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (Fluorescein DHPE). These fluorescently labeled liposomes can be used for biological imaging applications, including live-cell imaging and fluorescence microscopy. They enable visualization of cellular uptake, intracellular trafficking, and localization of liposomes in real-time.They are also valuable tools for studying membrane fusion events. By incorporating fluorescein DHPE into liposomes and monitoring changes in fluorescence intensity or energy transfer upon fusion with target membranes, researchers can investigate the dynamics and mechanisms of membrane fusion processes in vitro.
