4-Arm PEG-DBCO (4-Arm-PEG-Dibenzocycolctyne) is a PEG conjugate with DBCO group. The dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) in 4-Arm PEG-DBCO reacts with molecules containing azide groups (N3) in a Copper-free Click Chemistry. DBCO has very high reaction selectivity toward azide, enabling its use in modifying biomolecules including peptide, protein, enzyme, live cells, whole organisms etc. At physiological temperature and pH, DBCO does not react with amine or hydroxyl. DBCO also reacts with the azide group much faster than with free thiol groups.
